REPOSE

REPOSE is a new series of opal glass lamps epitomized by GamFratesi’s passion for craftsmanship, contrasts and refined aesthetic. Its strong sense of character is achieved by the poetic balance point of the thin line crossing the top of the organic shades. Designed to provide a calm atmosphere with its diffused light, graphic expression and soft shapes.

SUNDOWNER

SUNDOWNER is an iconic pendant designed by Jørn Utzon in 1948 characterised by its four-shade construction and how the light elegantly illuminates the shape. The soft curves and opposite-facing shades are designed prior to Utzon’s architectural masterpiece, the Sydney Opera House. With its dynamic design, the SUNDOWNER pendant expresses a clear linkage to the unique shell structures that have adorned the Sydney Harbour for more than half a century

The PEANUT

The PEANUT lamp is a mid-century classic, full of character, designed by Bent Karlby in 1946. The attractive, curvy-shaped shade is crafted from mouth-blown opalized glass, complemented by a brass top and bottom. PEANUT provides a soft and comfortable lighting experience wherever you choose to hang it.

VERONA

VERONA is a sophisticated 7-shade pendant that serves soft, glare-free lighting with timeless grace and simplicity. When lit, the spherical pendant beautifully self-illuminates, making for a striking display in itself. VERONA was designed by Sven Middelboe in 1968.

ABOUT LYFA

デンマークの首都コペンハーゲンで創業され、その歴史は1903年にまで遡る。デンマークで最も古い照明メーカーの一つ。創業時の名称は「KOBENHAVNS LAMPE OG LYSEKRONE FABRIK「KLLF」と呼ばれていた。ミッドセンチュリー期にサイモン P・ヘニングセンやベントカールビーなどの手により、数多くの名作が生み出され、国際的な評価を得る。

STORY

Perfected for contemporary living

LYFA（リーファ）は1903年にデンマークの首都コペンハーゲンで創業されたデンマークで最も古い照明メーカーの一つでした。

「光のパラダイムに忠実である」という、独自のデザイン理念に基づき、サイモン・P・ヘニングセンを始めとした、多くのデザイナーとのコラボレーションにより、革新的な照明を生み出す。

Craftsmen of the good light

1950年以降、洗練されたアイコニックなデザインを送り出す照明メーカーとして国際的な評価を得ていましたが、1990年についにブランドとしての幕を閉じることになりました。

しかし、2020年、LYFAはRASMUS MARKHOLT（ラスムス・マークホルト）の手によって再生され、新生-LYFAとして、歴史的名作を復刻し、デザインの灯をともし続けています。

Bent Karlby / ベント・カールビー
1912—1998

建築家を目指し、デンマーク機能主義の先駆者である Vilhelm Lauritzen の元で学んだ後、1950年代からはLYFAの主要デザイナーとして照明デザインをスタートさせ、ヴィルヘルム・ラウリツェンの意思を継ぎ、多くのアイコニックな作品を残しました。

Simon P. Henningsen / サイモン P・ヘニングセン(1920—1974)

デンマークの伝説的な建築家であり、照明デザイナーであるポール・ヘニングセンの息子、サイモン P・ヘニングセンは、幼少期より光の種類やそれぞれの光がもたらす異なる特性についてについての哲学を父である、ヘニングセンより学び、多くの名作を残した
